We met up with some friends from home in hongdae for lunch! Again, we are having chicken fried rice Korean style. Then we headed to building 63 because we heard great things about it and thought it was a great attraction to see. There was an awesome aquarium there, wax museum, and the observatory was amazing! Great view of seoul! We ended the day with dinner at a Korean bbq restaurant. We had about 8 different flavored samgyupsal (pork belly). Beautiful set up and great food!

Just another "tourist-y" day again. Hojoon took the day to show us an "art-filled" neighborhood. There were tons of drawings and paintings on the streets of this neighborhood (not pictured because the photos are on a different hard-drive). It was an awesome day! We ended the day with a samgyetang dinner (ginger chicken soup). It was great that we had this dish during that day because it was raining and a little chilly. 

May 23, 2014. 

Just another tourist-y day. We went to visit the folk village and another Palace. It was such a hot day! It took about the whole afternoon to finish the sight-seeing. For dinner, we met up with Hojoon to celebrate Melissa's bday. We went to Se7en's chicken restaurant in Hongdae to have jjimdak (chicken and noodle dish). And then afterwards, we headed to a bar to grab drinks! 

Se7en's restaurant has a ton of YG artists posters as well as photos of Se7en with celebrities that have visited (G-Dragon, Taeyang, BIGBANG, 2NE1, etc.)

(Not pictured: We walked to the Hongdae children's park and hung out there after drinks. There were street musicians and tons of college students hanging out there.)

We went to a chinese-based restaurant for lunch and had JaJangMyun (Black Bean Noodles). Delicious! After that, we headed out to the cinema to watch Song SeungHyun's new movie "Human Addiction". Although we didn't understand Korean that well, the movie was still understandable and it was great! The best part was, we got to see SONG SEUNGHYUN! and the cast as well. By the time the movie was done and the star/fan meet was done, it was already time for dinner! So we stopped by a little restaurant and had Naemyun (cold noodles), Yookgaejang (stew), and Spicy pork stir fry.

Day 2: Consisted of lunch (dakgalbi) in Hongdae and dessert at the Hello Kitty Cafe. We visited tourist attractions at Gyeongbukgong Palace and even walking to Insadong. We ended the night by meeting up with Hojoon to grab fried chicken from Kyochon, and heading to the Han River for a late picnic (very common in Seoul).

We went back to Seoul in May of 2014. It felt so great to be back there. We visited tons of places, did a ton stuff we didn't do the first time, and ate a ton of new food! Here is Day 1!
